The Solidarity Youth Movement is the youth wing of the Islamist organization Jama-athe Islami Hind in the state of Kerala in India.The movement claims to rely on "Islamic ethics" to fight against "all evils in society".[citation needed] It has been part of major people struggles such as struggles against Plachimata Coca Cola Company, Karimughal Carbon Factory and Kerala government's plan to launch an expressway in Kerala.
History
Solidarity Youth Movement was came in to live on May 13 2003 by witnessing a huge crowd at Muthalakkulam ground in Calicut, Kerala, India.Dr Koottil Mohammed Ali elected as first state president of the movement. SOLIDARITY supporting the struggle in Velichikkala. Solidarity is do the major work in rehabilitation of Mukkal Cent colony Kulathupuzha in Kollam district of kerala. Solidarity now become well settled youth movement in Kerala. Now it have huge mass support in Malappuram, Kozhikod, Palakkad, Eranakulam, Kollam districts of Kerala. Now SOLIDARITY is striggle agaist India-ASEAN FTA. It Played an importand roll aginst CZM notification of central Govt. Solidarity conduct a relief programme for Endosulfan victims of Kazargod the Northern District of Kerala.Solidarity conduct a historical march to CHENGARA to breake the trade union blockade against Sadhujana Vimochana Samyuktha Vedi which lead a struggle for Land.
